As a Shamrocker, you'll engage the crowd with fun games and activities during stage entertainment at the Arneson River Theatre and hand out goodies to passersby. Saturday is parade day as well as River Walk Royalty Coronation!. The festival will still be in full swing with vendors, activities, and lively performances to enjoy throughout the day. As a Shamrocker, you'll engage the crowd with fun games and activities during stage entertainment at the Arneson River Theatre and hand out goodies to passersby. While the parade itself takes place on Saturday, Sunday brings its own excitement with the dyeing of the river green, floating  entertainment on the water, and our adorable Lucky Dog Fashion Show, where  you'll assist in coordinating this one-of-a-kind event. The festival will  till be in full swing with vendors, activities, and lively performances to  enjoy throughout the day. Join us as we prepare for the Ford Mariachi Festival, an official Fiesta event where mariachi and folklorico groups of all sizes and levels perform along the River Walk! We need extra hands to help transform the barges and stages from Monday's Texas Cavaliers River Parade into vibrant, festive setups for Thursday's Mariachi Festival performances. Don't worry, you don't need to be super creative! Our decor team has already designed everything. Your help will involve zip-tying, assembling fringe, and adding festive touches to bring the celebration to life. It's a fun and collaborative way to build community while supporting an event that honors San Antonio's rich traditions.

Hey y’all! We’re keeping a favorite River Walk tradition alive and need your help. On the morning of Thursday, July 2nd, we’ll meet at the Visit San Antonio offices (parking validated and the garage above!) and walk over together to the marina to hop on boats. From there, we’ll cruise along the river and place over 1,000 American flags to get the River Walk ready for Fourth of July weekend.

This has been a special tradition for over a decade now, and it’s something both locals and tourists look forward to every year. It’s quick, fun, and such a great way to kick off the holiday weekend—and it wouldn’t be possible without you.

Help us turn the River Walk into a 15,000-seat event venue, one sticker at a time. Before the parades begin, we need your help preparing the downtown River Walk for a smooth and seamless guest experience. In this shift, you'll join a small team, led by a group leader, for a scenic walk along the River Walk to label chairs in each section. You'll be placing stickers on the 1st, every 5th, and the last chair in each row to help guests easily find their assigned seats, just like in a stadium or concert venue. This step is a crucial part of setting us up for success on event day. It ensures every guest feels welcomed, organized, and ready for the show. With over 15,000 chairs to label, it's a fun and impactful way to be part of the behind-the-scenes magic while enjoying a beautiful morning downtown.

Be the first friendly face guests see as they arrive for parade night. As a Parade Wayfinder, you'll be stationed at one of the entry gates along the River Walk, welcoming guests and helping them find their way to the correct gate or section. You'll play a key role in setting the tone for a joyful, organized, and festive evening kicking off the holiday with warmth and helpfulness. We'll make sure you're fully prepared with a Zone Captain to support you, snacks and meals, and everything you need for a smooth shift. After all the wayfinding help, the best part is still ahead! You'll get to enjoy the parade from your area and take in the magic you helped bring to life. This is the perfect way to be part of the action and celebrate the holiday with the community.
