Who We Are
The Visit San Antonio River Walk Department is a small but passionate team dedicated to bringing our community’s rich culture to life through 25+ events every year. From vibrant parades to festive celebrations, we create experiences that unite locals and visitors in the heart of San Antonio. Our team of five is committed to elevating these events, but they simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of volunteers like you. We’re building a community of volunteers who help us make each event a success, and we can’t do it without you.
What We Do
The Ford Mariachi Festival is an official Fiesta event that honors San Antonio’s rich traditions by showcasing local mariachi and folklorico organizations of all levels and sizes. These talented performers take center stage on the Rivercenter Mall Lagoon Stage, Chamber of Commerce Stage, and River Barges that loop through the downtown route—all free for the community to enjoy. This legacy event is a cherished part of Fiesta, and we need your help to make it unforgettable. Volunteers are essential to quickly decorating and transforming boats and stages after the Texas Cavaliers River Parade earlier in the week. It’s all hands on deck to ensure the floats and venues are stunning for the performers who eagerly anticipate this celebration all year long.
